Hearing Aids
About Suschko – Our Mission
Every person has unique hearing requirements – new methods for hearing aids have been developed over time. Modern hearing aids have nothing in common with the large, flashy devices of a few years ago
Today’s hearing systems can be described as compact “high-performance computers.” They combine intelligent functions and powerful technology in an extremely compact design that is placed almost invisibly in or behind the wearer’s ear. These advanced devices are designed to restore the clarity and understanding of speech, effortlessly handling even challenging conversations.
Our hearing aids not only provide an improved hearing experience but also enable a significant enhancement of quality of life and joy by allowing the wearer to actively participate in their environment again. Sounds, noises and voices that were thought to be lost become understandable again – whether it’s the chirping of birds, the laughter of children, or the sounds of your favorite music.

Types of Hearing Loss
There are different types of hearing loss, which need to be defined more precisely.
In the case of sensorineural hearing loss, the hair cells in the inner ear or parts of the nerves no longer function properly, which leads to damage to the inner ear. Those affected no longer perceive certain sounds, and exposure to noise is often the cause. However, there are also other triggers such as genetic factors, viral infections, sudden hearing loss, tumors or head trauma.
Do you know someone who can no longer hear well? Or are you affected yourself? Take advantage of a free hearing analysis in a Suschko Hörgeräte branch store now.
In the case of combined hearing loss, there is both conductive and sensorineural hearing loss. The hearing ability of those affected differs depending on which part is greater. Here is an individual consultation crucial for the success of the hearing aid.

Even if the hearing is intact, there may still be impairments in the perception of what is heard, which may indicate an auditory processing disorder (APD). APD describes deficits in auditory information processing and perception, often manifests itself in childhood and is researched on various levels. The causes and consequences of this hearing disorder are complex, and in some cases hearing aids can serve as a supportive measure.
It is important for hearing aid acousticians to consider each case individually and to advise patients individually in careful consultation with the doctor.
